Playgrounds

Playgrounds is an app that strives to connect students together for hangouts, playdates, and to meet new friends. Our company was founded in 2018-19 by our team, including Yusuf Alvi, Ajay Bhargava, Arjun Gutta, Harrison Hsu, Sam Kadaba, and Jerry Shi. We have received over 40 signups for our initial public beta and are in talks with school district administrators to negotiate certified partnerships.

2018-19

Tudr is a website that helps students find fitting student tutors based on location, schedule, teaching style, price, and more. Our company was founded in 2018-19 including James Ge, Gideon Tong, Pranav Pomalapally, and Jane Zhang. We have recruited over 10 tutors for our platform and are actively updating our website and looking for new students to become tudrs. Tudr received the Best Business Logistics Award at the 2019 LaunchX Clubs Pitch Competition.

Collegae

Collegae is a service where high school students can get help from college students of top universities including Princeton, Berkeley, UCLA, and more. Our company was founded in 2018-19 including Charles Qin, Joshua Woo, Bethany Tong, Angela Ling, Charisse Chua. We have reached out to all the parents at our high-school and hope to advertise to everyone in our district. So far we've gotten two prospects and one customer.

Sharide

Sharide is an app that helps students arrange carpooling to and from school and to extracurricular activities. We have helped over 40 students organize carpools and hope to release our app on the app store this year. Our company was founded in 2017-18 including James Ge, Andy Jin, Gideon Tong, Pranav Pomalapally and Jane Zhang. We received the best prototype at the USC Regional pitch event and will be continuing during the 2018-19 school year.

Drop is an interactive app that helps young students learn about the environment. Our company was founded in 2017-18 including Charlotte Barnett, Trevor Gadsby and Moorea Rameasar. We received the best presentation award at the USC Regional pitch event and will be continuing during the 2018-19 school year.
